Welcome to Blackpointe’s Start-Up financial model in PDF version. The model itself has been designed in Microsoft Excel with only select sections that need to be completed by the user. Once those sections are completed, you’ll have a comprehensive set of financial statements that can be used for business planning, meeting with bankers, investors and pretty much any organization that you may be working with to secure funding.
This model allows you the opportunity to concentrate on identifying funding sources rather than focusing on creating financial information that you may not have the expertise to produce or may be too costly for you to hire an outside consultant.

- Start-Up Worksheet
- Includes the ability to enter one time start up costs and ongoing annual expenses. There is also a section where you can enter in loan information if that’s applicable to your projections. The information entered here auto-populate many of the following sources of information.
- COGS Calculation
- This section provides the opportunity to enter in the costs associated with Costs of Goods Sold.
- Expense Detail
- This section highlights the projected expenses with totals that include annual and monthly amounts, and also an area to increase or decrease (by percentage) the expenses in year’s two and three.
- Revenue Detail
- This section provides you the ability to enter into the model four distinct types of revenue, such as Transaction Based, Service, Project and Recurring sources of revenue. You can enter in the name, amount, and number of periods.
- Revenue Risk
- This section is designed for you to analyze your sources of revenue with a pre-determined level of risk in three categories, Low (green), Medium (yellow) and High (red).
- FY Budget
- Based on the information already entered into different sections of the model, a FY budget has been created by revenue and expenses. The totals include the annual and monthly amounts.
- Cash Flow
- Your cash flow is also already completed based on different sections of the model, however this prepares a cash projection at the end of each month and also annually.
- 3-Year Profit & Loss Projection
- This section is also completed and formatted in an Income Statement style financial statement over a three year period.
- Balance Sheet
- This provides for an estimate of Assets and Liabilities with minimal data input.
